People & Anatomy

People, especially portraits of people, are always a challenging but rewarding theme.

I studied at the Fine Arts University of Lisbon, and a lot of it was classical teaching, where we’d spend hours painting or drawing live models. I always struggled with it but always enjoyed it nonetheless.

I also love focusing on individual anatomy parts. Either external, like hands (a recurring and very old theme for me, since before my tattooing days); or internal, like hearts or brains (always a classic).
